Why Elizabeth Warren Became "Princess Cheekbones"

Today, I report some new information about the academic context at Harvard Law School during Elizabeth Warren's tenure decision process—i.e. in early 1993.

While a lot of speculation has occurred concerning the pressures put on Warren, and prospective hires at Harvard, to assist diversity, this new information (some of which was reported by Harvard Crimson back in 1993, but which has so far been "undiscovered" in the 6-week news cycle on this story) points to Warren suffering from a direct attack by diversity proponents at Harvard, to which she responded by going Cherokee—or doing it more affirmatively at Harvard anyway.
