Fred MacMurray Reality of Compromise

Today, I wrote about how the USA, and particularly USA politics in 2012, are always kind of happening in a film noir—lately emphasis on the "noir" or willingness and expectation of being morally compromised.

Our choice this year for president is one of the weakest, least obvious, choices we have had in a long while. Either Obama or Romney could go this way one day or that way the next. We all know this. We all know that as president, either one of them could come up with something like Romney-Obamacare—and THEY DID!

And whether you're for or against Obamacare, you have to admit that Mitt Romney is going to sound like a complete hypocrite if he tries to criticize it. That's why he's claiming Obama has been trying to fire all the women in the USA, you know so he can send them home to be SAHMs, which is OK with Romney unless they're poor—or something.

It's the usual mess. Makes no sense. Makes a weak stomach turn. Learn to walk in the Dark Shadows. That's where we'll be for the foreseeable future.
